We select our leathers with patient care from Italy’s most renowned tanneries, ensuring they come exclusively from certified farms. The raw hides, tanned in historic wooden barrels to achieve deep, natural tones, are chosen before coloring to meet the highest quality standards from the very first stages of processing.

MEMORY FOAM
Doucal’s creations are celebrated for their perfect blend of aesthetics and comfort. This is achieved through a thin, invisible layer of memory foam applied to the insoles of every shoe. Made of dense polyurethane foam, this material molds to the foot, providing unparalleled support and cushioning.

To bond the sole to the upper before stitching, we use only natural, water-based adhesives that are non-toxic and hypoallergenic, ensuring safety and quality in every pair of our creations.

RUBBER SOLES
Crafted from closed-cell expanded materials, the rubber soles of Doucal’s shoes are three times lighter than other moldable plastics while maintaining the same mechanical strength. This special weather-resistant rubber is flexible and durable, providing a soft-touch sensation that is particularly pleasing to the touch.
